Start with your person
Set up your names and connection date. Together celebrates your time, Rate lets you take turns choosing media, and Picks shows matches and recommendations. On one device, hand the phone over when prompted so each person can rate separately.
Connect two devices
Both people need iCloud enabled on their own Apple Accounts. In Us, choose Invite my person and share the private invitation directly with your person. Open the invitation on their device with Friendly Connections installed. Once accepted, each device uses its assigned name. Invite only someone you trust.
When changes are waiting
Open the app on both devices, check the connection status in Us, and confirm an internet connection and available iCloud storage. Local changes are saved while you are offline and sync when access is available. Keep iCloud enabled. If a shared space is unavailable, the app will explain how to reconnect or start over.
Questions, games & memories
Connect has Messages, Play, and Memories. Daily answers reveal after both people respond. Add plans from Picks or Memories, and choose photos with the system photo picker. Notifications can be enabled from Connect and managed in iOS Settings.
Add your widget
Touch and hold your Home Screen, choose Edit → Add Widget, then search for Friendly Connections. Choose a small or medium widget. It mirrors your connection details and advances the counter daily; iOS controls the exact refresh time.
Control your shared space
You can stop an unwanted connection from Us → Start over. The owner deletes the shared space and revokes access; an invited person disconnects their device. Read the confirmation carefully. You can also manage the invitation from Us. Contact support to report a concern, and avoid including private photos or messages unless needed.
